ShowShelf started with a frustration: I wanted to send a recommendation to a blind friend, but every site I visited was a nightmare of clutter. Auto‑playing trailers, unlabeled buttons, and “accessible” features that were broken by design.
I realized that if I wanted a tool that respected all users, I had to build it myself. ShowShelf is built to be accessible, fast, and private — so you can focus on the stories you love.
One Developer, One Mission
I am a solo developer building ShowShelf in my spare time. There is no venture capital backing this, no board of directors, and definitely no data-mining team. This is a passion project built on a simple belief: Accessibility should be the default, not an afterthought.
